Stainless steel is extremely durable and resistant to water damage and rust. Nonetheless, it can also show every fi ngerprint and smudge left by hands and every water spot that is not properly wiped away. By using the wrong type of cleaner, there is no way to restore the fi nish. Ammonia, chlorine bleach, and oven cleaner are all particularly damaging, as are scouring powders and steel wool. If you live in an area with extremely hard water, the minerals will leave spots. In other words, despite its hardiness, stainless steel requires a high level of upkeep. Sanicleaner Instruments Rust removes proteic traces, iron oxide deposits and other oxidation stains.
